- Take a hard look at our economic development climate and ensuring that those who live and invest in our community are a part of the dialogue.
- Ensure our community works with partners to offer the housing, training opportunities and amenities that will encourage sustainable growth.
- Transportation is key to economic development; we must ensure our Airport and other key transportation infrastructure are used to its highest use including lower cost flights and flights to Alberta destinations.
Ensure Fort St John maintains a strong financial position
- Build a culture of financial responsibility.
- Investments in community are considered carefully and debated fully.
- Welcome any recommendations from Auditors to create a better community for our future.
Reposition Fort St John to be a leader among communities

About Lori:
Currently a Councillor with the City of Fort St John, Lori has lived in the Peace Region for 31 years; 1980 – 1988 in Dawson Creek and then moving to Fort St John. Some of her current council portfolios include:

She has been a Director of the Peace River Regional District since 2006 and sits on the Agricultural Advisory Committee and Human Resources Committee.
Lori presides as the Chair of the Northern Development Initiative Trust's Northeast Regional Advisory Committee and was nominated by her peers to be one of the elected officials to represent northeast BC on the Northern Development Initiative Trust Board. She has been on the NDIT Board since 2009. Lori is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) Governance Essentials Program.
Filling many roles in the Community, Lori volunteers with Peace Williston Advisory Committee Member, to the Board of BC Hydro; Emergency Social Services; Scouts Canada; and was a founding member of the United Way Cabinet in Fort St John. In 2002, Lori received the Queen's Jubilee Medal and in 2005, received the Silver Acorn for her especially distinguished service to Scouting.
Lori is the Executive Director of Sci-Tech North, a non-profit organization that offers support to entrepreneurs and innovators in the Northeast. She is tireless in her representation of her clients and communities. In her professional capacity, she is the Vice Chair of the BC Regional Science & Technology Network and a member of the Economic Development Association of the BC. Lori's background is in marketing, economic development and small business counseling.
Married to Andy, they have 6 grown children and 7 Grandchildren, Lori enjoys gardening; reading and her dogs.
