Intersections in Fort St John

We had an interesting report on intersections in Fort St John today at Council.  I thought many of you would enjoy the read.  When I saw the report, my first thought was that wretched intersection at Alaska Highway and 108 Str.  Well it is #9 out of 10.  Go figure! In the Admin Report, it indicates that ICBC shared half of the cost of the report; the City paid approximately $9,700 for this work. Any of the recommendations that are completed from the report will be cost sharable based on a possible crash reduction formula and claim reduction calculation done by ICBC to provide some funding from them for these improvements. The City would have to apply to ICBC for funding approval for each project. The City has received funding for a number of small projects in the past.
